Student Transitions

Over the past six months, STEP has brought together blind and partially sighted students from across the UK to share experiences, build confidence and prepare for their next educational transition. As we head into the summer break, we’re excited to introduce STEP into Technology – a new series of online sessions shaped by student feedback and focused on helping you get the most from the technology you use every day.

Whether you’re preparing for college, sixth form or university, or simply a student looking to build your confidence with technology, these sessions will introduce practical tools and accessibility features that can support you both in education and everyday life. Along the way, you’ll hear directly from blind and partially sighted students who will share their experiences, tips and favourite technology.

Important Information

  • All sessions take place online via Microsoft Teams from 4:00pm–5:30pm.
  • You do not need to attend every session. Simply register once and join the sessions that are most relevant to you and your interests.
  • Sessions are free to attend.
