Works For Me

Works For Me is our free service dedicated to supporting blind and partially sighted individuals in their pursuit of paid employment or a change of career. Our personalised approach caters to your unique needs and our team of employment experts is here to offer one-to-one support.

We provide a range of resources to help you including job search tips, advice on completing application forms and writing cover letters and CVs. We also provide valuable interview tips and offer mock interviews to prepare you for the real thing.

In addition, we can connect you with experienced career coaches who are dedicated to providing coaching and mentoring at no cost to you. If you require specialised services such as counselling, rehabilitation, or training, we can also refer you to the appropriate resources.

We offer the opportunity to have your IT skills assessed by our experts, advice on identifying the best assistive tech programmes to get you into work and where to get training.

We will also keep you informed via email about available opportunities, internships, webinars, and anything else that is relevant to your employment, education, or voluntary pursuits.

“Getting in touch with Works for Me was the best decision ever. They gave me the practical help that I needed – but more than this – gave me support when nobody else did.”
