Find Your Voice Live! with Nick Elston

On Friday, 28th February 2025, renowned motivational speaker Nick Elston delivered an engaging and inspirational online session on public speaking for our interns, students, job seekers, volunteers, and employees.

Nick shared his personal journey with mental illness through a powerful and emotionally resonant talk, offering valuable insights into overcoming the anxiety of public speaking. This thought-provoking Skill Share session empowered blind and partially sighted participants to harness their lived experiences, transforming vulnerability into a compelling and authentic presentation style.

Participants explored different presentation techniques, including the use of pace, tone, and volume, while gaining practical tips to enhance their confidence and presence as speakers. The session left attendees feeling more equipped to amplify their voices and share their stories with impact.

 Charle Rashbrook, Internships Coordinator said:

“We once again welcomed Nick Elston to speak to our interns about finding their voice and building the public speaking confidence. As always, the session was fantastic and really prompted participants to come out of their shells and understand the power of what they have to say.’
