Eye Care & You Webinars

We host monthly webinars called ‘Eye Care & You’. These webinars have been developed to provide up-to-date information and the latest professional advice on taking care of your eyesight and eye health. They are also an opportunity to ask questions in a friendly, supportive environment from the comfort of your own home.

The webinars cover a range of topics, led by a different eye care specialist or professional each month. They are not only for those living with a vision impairment, but also for those who may be at risk of developing sight loss, as well as family members, colleagues, or professionals who want to learn and develop awareness.

The 24th webinar will focus on the use of sunglasses for vision impaired people. We will cover areas such as what ultraviolet is (UV) and how to protect your eyes from UV rays and light. Our speaker will talk about how different tinted glasses can help different eye conditions and also where to seek professional help with understanding which sunglasses are best for you and your eye condition.

Our expert speaker can answer any questions you may have on the day.

Previous attendees of the webinars said:

“I have been a Rehab [rehabilitation] worker for over 20 years and have never been taught about some of the topics covered.”

“The fact that I can ask questions with my limited English and knowing that someone can explain back to me in my language, helps me feel confident asking my consultant questions.”

“It is so hard when you don’t know about what is available, these webinars have provided me with tools I can share with others and the webinars have also shared details of other organisations, so I am learning a lot. I look forward to each one.”
